Beschreibung

"Festsaal der Alpen" is the name given to the Bernina. Glittering lakes, green larch forests, mighty glacier streams, ice-covered peaks - fantastic hikes offer unique views. From hut to hut, the Bernina Trek crosses the region at the foot of the only four-thousander in the Eastern Alps, allowing the entire diversity of this region to be experienced in stages. In a classic way, from hut to hut, this round tour offers a challenge for ambitious mountain hikers. Technically not difficult, but with individual daily stages of up to 1100 meters in altitude and 8 to 10 hours of walking time, it is physically demanding. The Furcla Crap Alv, where scientists have found the greatest biodiversity in Switzerland at an altitude of 2466 meters, the Fuorcla Surlej, 2755 meters, which offers a breathtaking view of the glaciated ice peaks of Piz Roseg and the Bernina, the highest peak in the Eastern Alps at 4049 meters, the nights in the cozy Swiss mountain huts - these are just a few of the many highlights of this route. The endpoint of this contrasting tour is then in Puschlav, with its already southern ambiance. The return journey with the Rhaetian Railway is an experience - through winding tunnels, past glacial tongues and bluish glacial lakes.
