Cultural and Hiking Journey through Armenia and Georgia
Beschreibung
"Bari Galust!" is the welcome greeting in Armenia, while the Georgian says "Mogzande!" The Caucasus has many faces. It is a melting pot of peoples, religions, and traditions. Wild and untouched by human hands. The mountain range culminates in the high mountains of the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, towering over landscapes of exceptional beauty: the ideal terrain for easy day hikes. The Caucasus is a Eurasian mountain range. It divides and connects. The mountain people there could not be more different. Yet, many similarities can be found. Churches, monasteries, and cross-stones are witnesses of the first kingdoms of Christianity. Both countries revolve around wine. The cuisine and hospitality are legendary. Between the five-thousanders Ararat and Kazbek, we go on an exploration tour. Whether at Lake Sevan, in the mountains, or in the wine region of Vayots Dzor: at every step, we encounter great sights. During a visit to a winery and a typical lavash bakery, or during a feast with Armenian and Georgian families, we experience warm hospitality.
